How Often We Update Codes

Codes go stale, and a stale code is worse than no code. PFTrace re-checks every firm's offer on a daily schedule, and each firm page shows the date of the most recent check so you can see how current the listing is before you rely on it.

The Schedule

• Each firm's offer is re-checked once per day
• The date shown on a firm page is the date of the most recent check
• If the offer has changed, the page changes with it
• If a code stops appearing, it is removed from the page

What the Date Means

A recent date means the offer was still live at that point — it is not a promise that it is live right now. As a rule of thumb, treat codes checked within the last 7 days as current, and treat the firm's own checkout page as the final word.

When We Do Not Have a Date

If a firm has no date shown, we have no recent check to report for it. In that case the page carries no code, because we would rather show nothing than show an offer we cannot stand behind.

Reporting a Stale Code

If you find a code that does not work, that is useful to us — it usually means the campaign ended between checks. Let us know the firm and the code and we will re-check it. See also How We Verify.
